Legal Drafting

We are always available to draft family law documents, pleadings, or court orders for individuals acting as pro-se litigants (persons who choose to represent themselves in legal proceedings) but who need help acquiring legally sufficient paperwork. Attorney time in such instances is merely billed out hourly at a rate matching the type of documentation needed.

Document Review

Izzo & Associates attorneys are additionally available to review and advise you concerning documentation sent from either the court or an opposing party’s legal counsel to explain its legal ramifications, as well as what actions you may be required to take in response. For example, if it is an initial court filing, you may only have a limited period within which to answer to avoid being defaulted. (A default would result in a loss without you having the opportunity to defend yourself.) If it is a settlement offer or a negotiation, we will be able to advise you as to your options and possible pitfalls concerning what is being offered to you. If it is a draft of a proposed court order, it certainly would be especially helpful to have an attorney review it to ensure that specific issues are not left out or that language has been included which could hurt you in the future. Attorney time in such instances is merely billed out at our hourly rate matching the time necessary to review and or advise our client.
